In the category of professional films: “Alento” (2022), “Ice Merchants” (2022), “Elo” (2020) and “Estória do Gato e da Lua” (1995).

At the end of each moment there will be a conversation and space for a “Q&A” with the directors present.

In addition to the cinema sessions, there will be some surprises online.

Organized by former students from the University of Algarve, Catarina Calvinho Gil (assistant director of the film “Nayola” (2023) and Pedro Leitão (doctoral candidate at CCMAR), ANIMAGORIA – Algarve Animation Cinema Festival was created based on three pillars main ones: youth perspective, activism and interdisciplinarity.

The poster was created by illustrator Susa Monteiro. The spot is animated by Mariana Ferreira and Catarina Gil with music by Gabriel Mendes.

The initiative is in partnership with the Cineclube de Faro, the Algarve Regional Directorate of IPDJ and the Recreational and Cultural Association of Musicians.
