This Friday, September 29th, Aljezur Castle will light up red to mark World Heart Day.
This date, which is celebrated with the aim of «promoting public awareness of cardiovascular diseases, which constitute the main cause of death, not only in Portugal, but throughout the world», is an initiative of the World Heart Federation and the Foundation Portuguese of Cardiology.
With this initiative, the Municipality of Aljezur wants to “draw the attention of the entire population to the prevention of this lethal pathology”.
The Castle will remain red throughout the weekend.
