Algarvio Bernardo Pinheiro wants to win on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit

Driver wants to discuss first place in Portimão at the end of October

Algarvian Bernardo Pinheiro is focused on victory, this weekend, 23rd and 24th September, in his debut on the Belgian circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, in the penultimate double round of the Ligier European Series.

A month later, after his time at Motorland where he achieved his first 'pole' and led every lap he spent behind the wheel of Team Virage's Ligier, the Algarve driver knows that the task he shares with his teammate will be difficult.

In Spain, in the last stage, the Portuguese-British duo were 54 points behind first place, but, without giving up, they know that the 100 points still at stake could be in their favor even on a circuit like Spa-Francorchamps .

«The circuit is not completely unknown to me as we have tested here before, but in competition it will be my first time and on a circuit as special as this we want to win. At Motorland we showed that we could do it, but luck I didn't want to do the race like that, now it's time to leave that behind and face this challenge like all the others... to win", comments the driver from Portimão who arrives at the Belgian circuit in second position in the championship, side by side with his teammate, the British George King.

«We are far from first place and abandoning the first race at Motorland took away important points from us that would have put us in a more favorable position to discuss the four races still to be held. But we are not giving up: we want to discuss the final first place in Portimão at the end of October», says the 19-year-old young man who will once again take the colors of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in his Ligier JS P4 to one of the biggest stages of world motorsport.
