Joana Schenker from the Algarve won this weekend, September 2nd and 3rd, the 3rd stage of the National Bodyboard Circuit held in Praia Grande (Sintra).

The athlete «was satisfied with the victory, now occupying the second place in the national table, but, at the same time, she relativized her importance in a season in which the World Tour is her main priority.

«I'm very happy to win here today because I didn't have much pressure. I don't know if I'll do the whole circuit, but it's good to win because the National is a very competitive circuit and I always feel the need to show something, I don't really know why. The truth is that, psychologically, the Nationals turn out to be more complicated than the World Cup itself, so I'm happy», he said.

«I would like to renew the title of National Champion, but unfortunately the 4th stage of the Nationals coincides with the last stage of the World Tour in Morocco and I cannot be in 2 places at the same time. My main focus is the world circuit and that's what I'm focused on », she added.

The circuit now heads to Matosinhos, for the 4th stage of the National Bodyboard Circuit, on September 30th and October 1st.
