Stüssi keeps yellow in the Tour, Del Pino remains the best “algarvian”

Aviludo cyclist – Louletano – Loulé Municipality remains in the top 10

Colombian cyclist Adrián Bustamante (Kelly-Simoldes-UDO) won today the eighth stage of the Tour of Portugal on bicycle, with Swiss Colin Stüssi (Voralberg) maintaining the lead.

Jesus del Pino, from Aviludo – Louletano – Loulé Concelho, was once again the fastest “algarvian” and finished the stage in 13th place.

Overall, del Pino remains in 9th position, 2m57s behind the leader. Delio Fernandez, from AP Hotels & Resorts/Tavira/SC Farense, who even ran a stage with the Yellow Jersey, remains in 19th place.

At the end of the 146,7 kilometers, between Boticas and Fafe, Bustamente won in 3h34m26s, the same time as the Spaniards Mikel Iturria and Luis Ángel Maté, both from Euskaltel-Euskadi, second and third, respectively.

Overall, Stüssi maintains the lead, 28 seconds ahead of Russian Artem Nych (Glassdrive-Q8-Anicolor) and Luis Ángel Maté.

On Saturday, the ninth and penultimate stage runs, between Paredes and the top of Senhora da Graça, in Mondim de Bastos, on a route of 174,5 kilometers, with three mountain counts of the first category, the last one coinciding with the finish line.
