At A Ver Tavira, the menus continue to celebrate the summer

Menus are based on the fresh and traditional flavors of Algarve cuisine

The A Ver Tavira restaurant continues to celebrate summer with menus based on the fresh and traditional flavors of Algarve cuisine.

The menu features three options and can be harmonized with a selection of wines and cheeses.

“Toda a Viagem” is the first option and consists of ten dishes, prepared especially for the summer menu.

The experience begins with the “Do Tempo” dish, which combines aubergine, artichoke, wild orange and hazelnut. “Fumado e Fresco” is the name given to the second dish, which combines sarrajão, green apple and fried corn.

For seafood lovers, there is the “Sustainability” dish, with shrimp momo, green mango and horseradish. Then, “O diving” features line fish accompanied with garlic potatoes, sauce and cockles.

There is also no shortage of tradition in this experience, with the “Crayfish and Rice”, which combines, precisely, crayfish and rice with the unmistakable flavor of caviar.

“My Roots” is a comfort dish that invites you on a journey through the history of chef Luís Brito through the traditional cod with migas and green broth. “A Vazia de Trás-os-Montes” presents “Vazia de rubi Gallega”, celery, asparagus and jus. “What Stayed” is a dish that mixes the characteristic Arabic flavor of “Ras el hanout” with yogurt and raisins.

Lovers of sweet flavors will also have the dish “From São Tomé to the Algarve”, which combines the famous São Tomé chocolate with fig tree milk custard. To conclude the trip, chef Luís Brito presents the morgado from the Algarve, pomelo and Szechuan.

For those who enjoy lighter meals during hot weather, but who cannot say no to a tasting menu, A Ver Tavira and chef Luís Brito prepare the menus “A Viagem do Sabor” and “Entre Momentos”.

The menus consist of seven and five dishes, respectively. The two experiences contemplate dishes from the “Toda a Viagem” menu, proposing a different approach and readings, but with an intense sample of flavors. There is also an à la carte option.

Located in the historic area of the city, A Ver Tavira was inaugurated in 2006 with the mission of paying homage to the locality and the region through a cuisine of fine dining, which respects local ingredients and traditional roots.

During the summer season, the restaurant is open from 12:00 to 15:00 for lunch and from 19:00 to 22:00 for dinner, being closed only on Sundays and Mondays.

In 2021, after appearing in the Michelin Guide, A Ver Tavira received, at the end of the same year, its first Michelin star.

The restaurant is also referenced in the Boa Cama Boa Mesa 2022 guide by Expresso.
