The Parish of Guia, in Albufeira, will be celebrating on the weekend of 26th and 27th August, with Miguel Azevedo, Duo Rui & Miguel, 7 Saias and Duo 64.
The party takes place at the Polidesportivo da Guide, where will there be concerts, taverns and traditional gastronomy, from 19 pm, with free entry.
the festivities of Guide include Parish Celebrations in Honor of Our Lady of Guide and S. Luís, and therefore, on Saturday, August 26th, at 20 pm, there is a Mass and Procession from the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Guide. On Sunday, the 27th, at 18 pm, the Mass and Procession from the Igreja Matriz da Guide.
In addition to the concerts and traditional snacks, this year the Parish Council of Guide organizes Fireworks, which ends the two days of festivities.
For Dinis Nascimento, president of the Parish Council of Guide, "these Festivities bring together two days that combine animation and popular conviviality with the religious aspect, as they are held in honor of Nossa Senhora da Guide and Saint Louis".
The mayor invites «everyone who is in the Algarve, whether residents or tourists, to visit the Guide and to take advantage of the concerts, the gastronomy and the whole atmosphere that is experienced these days, where the religious component is very present».
As for the concerts, on the 26th of August Miguel Azevedo and Duo Rui & Miguel take the stage, while on Sunday it is the turn of 7 Saias and Duo 64.
