A 30-year-old man was arrested for the crime of pornography of minors, announced this Wednesday, August 2, the Directorate of the South of the Judiciary Police (PJ).
According to this authority, the investigation had its origin in complaints that indicted the suspect for the practice of sexual acts with children.
After two house searches in the Faro and Setúbal, the young man was arrested.
«After carrying out computer searches of the various equipment, large thousands of videos/images containing pornography of minors were identified, suspecting that part of this material may have been shared with third parties not yet identified», says the PJ.
"Conversations and sharing of content were also flagged, which strongly point to the possibility of the suspect having had sexual relations with children and young people over the last few years".
In addition to computer equipment (a computer, a hard disk, several external disks, two mobile phones and a pen drive), 54 grams of hashish and a precision scale were also seized.
The investigation continues to clarify the facts, namely the identification of potential victims and other possible suspects.
