Berbigão Festival returns to Polidesportivo da Figueira

Buba Espinho and Giletes d'Aço are part of the musical lineup

The Berbigão Festival is back at the Polidesportivo da Figueira, in the parish of Mexilhoeira Grande, in the municipality of Portimão, between the 9th and 10th of September.

The 19th edition takes place between 19 pm and 00 am, with typical gastronomic proposals and popular music.

The event focuses on typical dishes of Algarve cuisine, such as cockle pasta, cockle rice, cockle porridge, cockle patties or natural cockle, all made on site, complemented by regional sweets and pastries, as well as other foods and drinks .

In the musical program on September 9, and in addition to Marcelo Rio's performance, Buba Espinho takes the stage, whose repertoire combines Alentejo cante and fado.

On Sunday, September 10th, the animation will be in charge of Cláudio Rosário and the Porto band Giletes d'Aço, which combines music and humor in a very unique style.

Tickets cost 4 euros and include the offer of an ecological glass.

Figueira has been organizing this festival for about two decades, as a way of celebrating a mollusk that has deep roots among the local population.
