“Fernando Pessoa, from Pessoa to People” is the motto of Patico’s exhibition in Portimão

Exhibition “crosses painting, unknown materials, techniques and unusual forms, with memories and places, as well as with literary creation, reading and other arts”

Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes, in Portimão, will exhibit, from the 8th of September, paintings by Patico under the suggestive title “Fernando Pessoa, from Pessoa to People”.

Patico, artistic name of Francisco Alberto, was born in Monforte, where he was born in 1971, and currently resides in Lagoa, using drawings, mixed painting techniques and collages in his paintings.

With a vast exhibition curriculum and some literary editions, the artist explains that from poetic writing, from the figurative to the abstract, he reveals “carved, sculpted and plastic feelings, coming from my intro and retrospective album, built in the light of Fernando Pessoa, of other people – some better known than others -, things and places of water, salt, sun, sweat… and tears”.

“This look intends, therefore, to go beyond the passion and fascination that I have for the genius, work and, as well, for the galactic public person(s) that the Poet encloses, which transport us to multiple dimensions (concrete, abstract…)”, says Patico.

The exhibition at Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes is, in his view, “a place that crosses painting, unknown materials, unusual techniques and forms, with memories and places, as well as literary creation, reading and other arts… service by my hand, which is intended to be educational. A path where I let go, far away from preconceptions and puffy theories…”

The exhibition “Fernando Pessoa, from Pessoa to People” can be enjoyed until October 31, from 10:00 am to 16:30 pm, between Tuesday and Friday, without interruption during the lunch period, as well as on Saturdays, from 15:00 pm to 18:30 pm.
