Regional and Conventual Sweets Fair returns to Jardim Manuel Bivar

Entrance is free

The Regional and Conventual Sweets Fair will take place from this Wednesday, August 23, at Jardim Manuel Bivar, in Faro.

This is one of the oldest events in the Algarve capital, which is now in its 35th edition and which this year has seen a sharp increase in the regional confectionery pavilions.

The objective passes, according to Bruno Lage, president of the União das Freguesias de Faro, «for promoting and disseminating traditional Portuguese confectionery, enhancing conventual and palatial confectionery as well as the knowledge and flavors characteristic of the different regions of Portugal, without forgetting regional drinks and liqueurs»

On the other hand, it is intended to provide residents and visitors of the city of Faro the tasting and acquisition of genuine and quality products.

In addition, there will be a catering area and citizens registered in the parish will have the opportunity to meet and vote on candidate projects for the 2023 Participatory Budget, at the stand of the União das Freguesias de Faro.

The event will be open until Sunday, the 27th, every day from 18:00 pm to 24:00 am and admission is free.
