Spaniard suffers cardio-respiratory arrest on the beach of Monte Gordo

Man had a history of epilepsy

A 40-year-old man of Spanish nationality who suffered a cardiac arrest on the beach at Coelho beach in Monte Gordo, was assisted this afternoon by elements of the “SeaWatch” project, belonging to the National Maritime Authority.

Following an alert received at 15:15 pm by lifeguards on the beach, reporting that "a man with a history of epilepsy was feeling unwell on the beach", the "SeaWatch" project and INEM traveled to the site. .

Elements of the “SeaWatch” Project carried out resuscitation maneuvers until INEM arrived, which then transported the victim to a hospital.
