To discuss business opportunities in the Portuguese speaking market

The Business Confederation of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CE-CPLP) brought together more than 70 businessmen, diplomats and politicians in Albufeira to discuss business opportunities in the Portuguese speaking market.

The purpose of the CE-CPLP is to "widen the economic position of the community on a world scale, with China and Macau being extremely important markets", says the note.

Sebastião Bugalho was the guest speaker and in his intervention he made an analysis of the world economy, highlighting that, despite the apparent moment of political tension, the economy is not slowing down and trade between China and the USA continues to increase. He also underlined that the CPLP economic market could also grow in the next decade, namely in the agricultural, energy and technology sectors.

The meeting, organized by the confederation chaired by Nelma Fernandes, was also attended by José Rolo, mayor of Albufeira, Rogério Bacalhau, mayor of Faro, José Apolinário, president of CCDR Algarve and Reinaldo Teixeira, delegate of the EC-CPLP in the Algarve.
