Concert celebrating the 20th anniversary of Reflect's career is the highlight of the Day of the Municipality of Silves

Silves Municipal Holiday marks the conquest of the city from the Moors, on September 3, 1189

A tribute to athletes, personalities and institutions in the municipality, an exhibition by Jorge Santos and another by the collection of Luís Negrão and his family, as well as a Reflect concert with the Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica Silvense are the main initiatives scheduled to mark the Municipal Holiday of Silves, between the 1st and 3rd of September.

The program will begin on the 1st, at 21 pm, with the Commemorative Concert of the National Day of Philharmonic Bands, by the Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica Silvense, with the support of INATEL, at Castelo de Silves.

The Municipality Day celebrations continue the following day with a tribute to the municipality's athletes, at 21:00, at Castelo de Silves, with musical accompaniment from the AMARO Project.

On September 3, a municipal holiday, the celebrations will be marked by the opening of the exhibition “Arvoredos e Canaviais” by Jorge Santos, at 16 pm, at the Municipal Library of Silves, and, at the Alcantarilha Exhibition Center, with “Quebra-Costas”, the exhibition of works from the Luís Negrão and Family Collection, at 30 pm, followed by the homage to personalities from the municipality, at 18 pm, at Castelo de Silves.

The ceremony culminates with a concert by Reflect, which marks the 20th anniversary of his career, with the Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica Silvense, at 22 pm, in the same venue.

The Municipal Holiday of Silves marks the conquest of the city from the Moors, which took place on September 3, 1189, when D. Sancho I was the King of Portugal.
