CCDR promotes day dedicated to regional development at FATACIL

The Coordination and Regional Development Commission (CCDR) of the Algarve, in partnership with several entities, will promote the colloquium “Algarve: Cultural Heritage, Mediterranean Diet and Territory”, on the 21st of August, at 18 pm, at FATACIL – Handicraft Fair , Tourism, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry of Lagoa.

The appreciation of traditional practices and agri-food products from the Algarve will be some of the topics covered in the debate that will be moderated by Elisabete Rodrigues, journalist and director of Sul Informação.

With a special focus on Creative Tourism, Handicrafts and Gastronomy, Industrial Tourism, Cultural and Creative Industries and Enotourism, the debate will present the projects Algarve Craft & Food by João Amaro (Tertúlia Algarvia), Conserveira Saboreal by Vicent Jonckheer, Magallanes_ICC by Susana Martins (Cooperativa QRER) and Morgado do Quintão by Filipe de Vasconcellos.

The session begins, however, at 18 pm, with presentations by Adriana Nogueira, regional director of Culture, on «Culture and Territory», and Pedro Valadas Monteiro, regional director of Agriculture and Fisheries, on «Cultural Heritage and Valorization of Agro-Food Products ».

The session will be closed by José Águas da Cruz, President of the Municipal Assembly of Lagoa and the Intermunicipal Assembly of the Algarve, André Gomes, President of Turismo do Algarve, José Apolinário, President of CCDR Algarve and of the ALGARVE 2030 Regional Programme, and Luis Encarnação, Mayor of Lagoa, followed by a tasting of products from the Mediterranean Diet, at the stand of the Algarve Wine Commission.
