An unprecedented concert to mark the 90th anniversary of the Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica Silvense and the National Day of Philharmonic Bands will take place on September 1st, at 21 pm, at Castelo de Silves.
The Commemorative Concert of the National Day of Philharmonic Bands, by the Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica Silvense, has the support of the INATEL foundation.
The anniversary celebration aims to recognize the work that the Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica Silvense has developed throughout its 90 years of existence.
The National Day of Philharmonic Bands was established in 2013 by the Portuguese Government in order to recognize and value the work carried out over decades by those institutions across the country.
The Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica Silvense has around 40 musicians and is conducted by maestro Pedro Coutinho. Admission is free.
