Arvad Wine promotes sunset Thursdays with wine, snacks and music

Opportunity for a relaxed late afternoon, discovering a good wine from the Algarve

Quinta Arvad, twelve hectares of vineyards on the left bank of the Arade river, close to Estômbar and overlooking Silves, promotes, throughout the month of August, sunsets with wine tasting, snacks and music.

So, every Thursday in August, from 19 pm onwards, the compass turns to Sítio da Abicada, in Estômbar. For 00 euros, the ticket includes a plate of Oysters or a plate of Partridges, a cheese board and three glasses of Arvad wine. All of this surrounded by nature and the cellar, in terracotta colors, to the sound of a DJ and a saxophonist.

Arvad was created in 2016, on a property on the banks of the Arade River, overlooking Silves.

There are twelve hectares of land, exposed to the north winds, which allows for large daily temperature variations. A Mediterranean climate with an Atlantic influence, complemented by a clayey limestone soil and in which the weight of history gathers.

Arvad, formerly a word for “refuge”, which today applies to the care and quality of our wines, made from red varieties such as Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional or Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as from white varieties, Alvarinho, Arinto and Sauvignon Blanc.

A process under the responsibility of engineer Bernardo Cabral, an award-winning winemaker, whose first vinification took place in 2019.
