World Pregnant Day, which is celebrated on the 9th of September, will be celebrated in Albufeira with a concert dedicated to mothers-to-be.
The event was organized by the MAMIS program (Maternity, Physical Activity, Meditation, Yoga and
Sensoriality), developed by the Municipality of Albufeira, and takes place in the multipurpose room of the municipal swimming pools, between 10:00 and 12:00.
“Breathing with Music” will be the motto of this moment, which will contain harp and French horn music and also a conversation about “Pregnancy and the importance of breathing”.
With this initiative, the Municipality also intends that «babies enjoy all the benefits of music created for them and for pregnant women».
To attend the show, prior registration is required, which will run until the 25th of August, so those interested should contact the email: [email protected].
The concert is free, but limited to 30 participants.
In a note, the Chamber of Albufeira recalls that the “MAMIS” program was created in 2019, with the purpose of supporting Maternity in the Municipality of Albufeira. The initiative, which started in December of that year, has been providing pregnant women and new mothers with various sessions of adapted physical activity and educational sessions.
