Al Sud Palmares presents new dishes to try until autumn

The fine dining restaurant, with a renewed Michelin star, is open for dinner, from Tuesday to Saturday

Al Sud Palmares presents a set of new dishes that intend to be an ode to summer. fine dining of the Palmares Ocean Living & Golf resort, in Lagos, promises to awaken the five senses, combining the unique characteristics of local products and their seasonality, with new ingredients that go beyond the region and that mark the best of Portuguese cuisine.

For Executive Chef Louis Anjos and Chef Ricardo Luz, the introduction of new dishes is the result of the incessant work that both develop to offer a unique and excellent experience to those who visit them.

“As a Chef, there is nothing that makes me more satisfied than providing memorable moments to our visitors”, shares Louis Anjos, who reinforces the importance of highlighting these locally sourced products, ensuring sustainability and supporting local producers.

“The Algarve is known for a very rich gastronomic tradition, in addition to the diversity of local products. These products significantly influence a menu, adding unique flavors, textures and cultural elements,” he says.

The cuisine of the Algarve restaurant, with a renewed Michelin star, presents unforgettable combinations. The new menu is divided into 10 moments, costing 175 euros, which can be accompanied by a complement of wine, for 95 euros.

 

 

As input, they present the snacks of cod and sardines, to reinforce the Portuguese tradition and flavours.

In addition, Chef Louis Anjos chose to highlight the freshness needed for this season with dishes such as violet prawn combined with barnacles and granny apple, Alentejo lamb with purslane and chickpeas and, as a pre-dessert, melon with mint.

The new edition of the famous “À Descoberta” menu at the Al Sud Palmares restaurant brings a reinterpretation of the most traditional ingredients of Portuguese cuisine, maintaining the sophistication and elegance that so characterize the restaurant.

“Al Sud Palmares' 10-moment menu is better than ever. Each dish is prepared with every detail and care to inspire those who sit at the table, and this we owe to the hard work of Chef Louis Anjos and Chef Ricardo Luz, and to the passion and dedication of the teams. Years go by, trends change, but the quality of the creations and service is maintained, which is why we believe that this is also one of the reasons why we were awarded a Michelin star”, comments Alda Filipe, commercial and marketing director at Kronos Homes in Portugal.

Al Sud Palmares aims to offer a unique experience, in which the signature menu combines with the intimate and elegant space, overlooking the bay of Lagos and the Alvor estuary.

Located in the resort's Clubhouse, the fine dining has capacity for 24 people and is open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, upon reservation.
