Águas do Algarve invites young people to discover “natural treasures” with “Water Passport”

Challenge runs until September 15th

With the aim of not giving environmental education a vacation, Águas do Algarve launched a competition that invites young people to discover the natural treasures of the Algarve with the “Water Passport”.

The pastime invites young people from the region to explore “natural treasures” in iconic places linked to nature such as Praia de Vale do
Lobo, Praia de Cacela Velha, Praia de Faro, or the Natural Park of Ria Formosa, Praia da Ilha de Tavira, Praia de Benagil, Praia da Marinha or Lagoa dos Salgados, Praia do Camilo or Praia do Carvoeiro, among others.

Águas do Algarve's proposal is that, when visiting these places, young people take their Passport with them, make a drawing, take a picture and reflect a little on the natural appearance of the place.

To participate, you must consult the Regulation and print the Passport on the Project page here, visit the suggested places and send photographs of the passport and the places visited until September 15th to the email [email protected]

The best passports will have prizes such as tickets to water parks and beach kits.

«The “Water Challenge” project aims to awaken children's interest in nature and the importance of conserving water resources», points out Águas do Algarve.

The contest will run from the 28th of July to the 15th of September.

The “Water Passport” competition is part of the “Water Challenge – Savings Without Borders” project, in celebration of World Nature Conservation Day.
