Vicentina promotes workshop on community-based local development in Lagos

The 4th DLBC Rural Workshop will take place on the 13th of July, at 15 pm, at the Town Hall of Vila do Bispo

The Vicentina Association promoted, on the 28th of June, the 3rd workshop on Community Based Local Development (DLBC), which took place in the Auditorium of the Municipality of Lagos.

The working morning ran from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm, and began with the intervention of Sara Coelho, councilor of the Municipality of Lagos, who mentioned that the development of measures linked to the areas of nature and biodiversity, sustainable food systems and youth mobilization, will add added value to the new candidacy, in addition to addressing the concerns of ADERE's partners that aim at sustainability and territorial enhancement.

Márcio Viegas, president of Vicentina, explained that at the 3rd meeting on the CLLD, questions about the partnership, specifically the proposal and analysis of new partners, should continue to be debated.

Aura Fraga, secretary of the association, clarified that the themes of the session would be “Thematic Approach”, “Objectives”, “Main Needs”, “Complementary Needs” and “Results” that the strategy intends to achieve.

Nuno Prata, executive coordinator of Aliados Consulting, said that the purpose of the meeting would be based on carrying out a joint reflection, «generating relevant contributions and greater alignment in terms of strategy». The coordinator also continued his intervention with the presentation of the vision, the strategic and complementary objectives, the main and complementary needs and the expected results, which will form the basis of the strategy.

The 4th DLBC Rural Workshop will take place on the 13th of July, at 15 pm, at the Town Hall of Vila do Bispo, followed, on the 00th of July, at 14 am, by the 10th DLBC Rural Workshop, which will take place at the Municipality of Monchique.

The meeting was attended by the partners and associates of ADERE 2020, members of the Local Administration, the Regional Administration, as well as Entities, Associations and Public and Private Foundations.

Community-Based Local Development (DLBC) is a form of integrated approach to territorial development which, in its rural aspect, is supported by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), through the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (PEPAC) .
