30 professionals from the Center for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (CMR) do Sul were certified at an international level, individually and as part of a care team, in terms of providing care and assessing the Functional Independence Measure (FIM) of patients in Intensive Rehabilitation process.
The FIM® Mastery Examination Process Certification, awarded by the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation and the University at Buffallo, is an international certification in the area of rehabilitation and, at the moment, the Center for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the South is the only center in the country with this certificate.
This certification was obtained by doctors, rehabilitation nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists and speech therapists, who work at CMR Sul.
The Board of Directors (CA) of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve (CHUA) took the opportunity to thank all the professionals for «the work they have been doing».
Furthermore, the CA signed up with the City Council of São Brás de Alportel and the collaboration of the Mobility and Transport Institute (IMT) and support from the PRR/PO2030 a set of actions to be carried out this year «which will deepen the response conditions in this unit that serves as a reference to five districts (Faro, Beja, Évora, Setúbal, Portalegre)”.
