The activity “Astronomia no Verão”, a nocturnal astronomical observation with a telescope, returns on the 22nd of July, between 21:00 and 23:30, in Praia da Marinha. This is an initiative of the Municipality of Lagoa, in collaboration with the Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve.
The activity involves astronomical observation, with a telescope and with the naked eye, with identification of constellations and asterisms in the summer sky and observation of visible celestial objects, such as the Moon, planets, among others.
The participants will see images from the telescope, while images linked to the themes will be projected onto a TV monitor.
Program:
21:00 – Reception of the participants.
21:05 – Start of activity – Earth and its space neighbors.
21:30 – The constellations and galactic neighbors. Stargazing with a Telescope
23:30 – End of activity.
