A 43-year-old man, suspected of having raped a woman who was incapacitated by "substance abuse", in the municipality of Faro, was arrested, announced this Wednesday, July 5, the Judiciary Police (PJ).
The crime took place in the early hours of Sunday, July 2nd.
The complaint was made by the 39-year-old victim herself after the rape.
According to the PJ, the man took advantage of the woman's "disabled" state, "generated by substance abuse".
The sexual assault took place in the man's house, without the presence of "third parties known to the victim".
The investigation is conducted by the Public Ministry Services, Department of Investigation and Criminal Action of Faro.
