Arrested man suspected of robberies in Portimão and Alvor

According to the PJ, the «individual alternated the places and regions where he committed the robberies to make the investigation difficult»

A 38-year-old man, suspected of aggravated (consummated and attempted) robberies, from May to July, in the areas of Lisbon, Linha de Sintra, Portimão and Alvor, has been arrested, announced this Saturday, July 22, the Judiciary Police (PJ). 

The crimes took place from May 27 to July 21 and "targeted banking and exchange establishments, CTT stations and a van transporting valuables", according to the PJ.

The man was detained outside the flagrante delicto.

According to the PJ, the «individual alternated the places and regions where he committed the robberies to make the investigation difficult».

After the crimes, the «suspect would flee».

"Several objects relevant to the evidence were seized, including the weapon that the suspect used in the robberies, which turned out to be a airsoft».
