João Pimenta Lopes and Sandra Pereira, Members of the PCP in the European Parliament, will be in the Algarve from the 25th to the 28th of July, for their Working Days, under the motto “With you every day – Your voice in the European Parliament”.
These Working Days will be dedicated to «essential issues that are faced today by workers and populations in this region and in the Country», point out the communist MEPs.
João Pimenta Lopes and Sandra Pereira will contact workers, populations, union structures, companies, associations and other organizations, focusing on the increase in the cost of living, low wages and precariousness, the degradation of public services, the right to employment with rights, the right to housing, the situation of economic activities, environmental protection and the defense and promotion of regional production – deepening the knowledge of the problems that are felt and pointing out the solutions that are necessary to respond to them.
The multiple visits, meetings and meetings that will take place in this context will allow the dissemination of the work carried out in the European Parliament and highlight the major national issues, but also regional and local ones, highlighting their articulation with the intervention carried out by the PCP in the European Parliament.
