The body of a man was found on the rocks of Vale do Olival beach, in the municipality of Lagoa, this Sunday morning.
The alert was given at 8:06 am and members of the Portimão Maritime Police, INEM and the Lagoa Volunteer Firefighters were sent to the scene.
Death was declared on the spot by the INEM doctor and the body was later transported to the Instituto de Medicina Legal de Portimão by the Fire Department, after authorization by the Public Ministry.
The local command of the Maritime Police of Portimão took care of the incident.
