Loulé Islamic Baths will have “Nights with Heritage”

The Islamic Baths will have, in July and August, “Nights with Heritage”, with the right to thematic visits guided by technicians from the Museum of Loulé. 

Every Saturday of these two months, between 10 am and 23 pm, the public will be able to visit the Islamic Baths and Manor House of Barreto.

The initiative also includes, at 21:00, guided thematic visits carried out by Museum technicians, who will address various aspects related to history, museography, archeology or the conservation and restoration of this heritage.

The themes scheduled for the month of July are as follows: “Pedra sobre Pedra. The Archeology of Two Monuments”, by Rui de Almeida (15th); “Conservation and Restoration of Archaeological Assets”, by Rita Vaza (22nd); and “Islamic Baths and Manor House of Barreto – Archaeological Spaces”, by Margarida Marques (29th).

The Islamic Baths and Manor House of Barreto were recently classified as a National Monument.
