Autodromo Internacional do Algarve welcomes Alpine Formula 1 team

During the 12th and 13th of July

The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA) will receive the Alpine Formula 1 team, during the days of 12 and 13 July.

After Mclaren and Mick Schumacher with the MCL35M, the AIA now welcomes Alpine's FORMULA 1 team and will allow Portuguese followers the opportunity to follow the tests live and up close, in the Main Stand, in a free.

«Our circuit continues to be one of the most desired by teams for testing and racing. After Alpha Tauri and Pirelli were on our development track at the beginning of the year, now it was Mclaren and Alpine, visiting the AIA for the second time. The opportunity that Alpine gave us to open the stand is fantastic and we have to thank them, I am sure that on the next 12th and 13th we will have many motorsport and Formula 1 lovers in our stand», comments Paulo Pinheiro, CEO of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

The track, which has already hosted two Formula 1 Grands Prix (2021 and 2022), has hosted a test day in the last three days, between July 4th and 6th, where the driver on duty was Mick Schumacher – the brand’s reserve driver – who rode behind the wheel of the 2021 version of the Zak Brown team's single seater.

With a specific program of tests, the German driver also tried out some of the Pirelli tire compounds used in the championship, with the team bringing some young technicians still in training to the Algarve.
