12 people arrested for trafficking during Afro Nation in Portimão

During these days, the PSP reinforced policing

12 people were arrested for drug trafficking during the “Afro Nation” festival that took place from 28 to 30 June in Portimão. 

During these days, the PSP reinforced policing, with the support of the Special Police Unit and a Quick Reaction Team from Beja.

The objective was "to guarantee the maintenance of public order, the management of road traffic and the prevention of criminal activities that generate a greater feeling of insecurity in the community".

For the arrest of the 12 people, it was “relevant to the performance of the criminal investigation police and the viewing of images from the CCTV system, installed in the Praia da Rocha area”, says the PSP:

Five citizens were also identified for selling and/or possessing nitrous oxide.

During the Festival, 804 doses of marijuana, 335 doses of cocaine, 63 doses of amphetamines, 46 doses of hashish and 1845 euros from drug trafficking were seized.
