Lagos hosts festival in solidarity with Ukraine

The initiative will also receive donations to Ukrainian associations

It is a festival in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and aims to unite the cultures of Portugal and Ukraine. “Felizonda” will take place from this Thursday, June 29th, in Lagos, and will feature music, gastronomy, handicrafts, a bunker and also the recreation of a typical Ukrainian village. 

The opening ceremony, starting at 19 pm, will be attended by Hugo Pereira, Mayor of Lagos, the Ukrainian ambassador to Portugal and Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, via teleconference.

In music, the highlight goes to the Ukrainian artists Oleg Skrypka and the Naoni Orquestra and Laura Marti, and to the Portuguese Brisas do Sul, Al-Gharband, Poor Man's Band, Pau de Cabinda, Rafa Band, Dj Justt, Dj's Tobyone + Arthi and DJ Franpe.

Coming from France, musicians Charles France and Corneluis Boulevardier will perform.

The enclosure will be open to the public throughout the day, with various events and activities, and will have a handicraft fair, food and drink taverns, an art exhibition, an area for children, and a typical Ukrainian village, as well as a bunker which represents one of the ways of life in Ukraine at the moment.

The initiative will also receive donations to Ukrainian associations.
