Albufeira Hunting, Fishing, Tourism and Nature Fair will have DAMA and new space

The enclosure closes on the first two days at 2:00 am and on the last day at 1:00 am.

The Hunting, Fishing, Tourism and Nature Fair will take place from the 7th to the 9th of July, at Marina de Albufeira, and will feature performances by DAMA, Miguel Gameiro and Polo Norte and duo Némanus. 

The official presentation of the event took place last Thursday, the 15th of June, in the Main Hall of the Town Hall.

This year, the event takes place in a new space in Marina de Albufeira, with the aim of «facilitating the mobility of visitors», said the mayor.

José Carlos Rolo also mentioned that «the Hunting, Fishing, Tourism and Nature Fair is an event that is already a tradition in the Algarve and Albufeira».

«This is an initiative that aims to promote gastronomy, handicrafts, music and rurality, promoting game tourism», he reinforced.

On the 7th of July, Friday, the exhibition opens at 18 pm with an opening ceremony and respective visit to the exhibitors. On this day, visitors can watch the cataplana competition, the equestrian show “Algarve Equestre” and performances by small and large local artists. The highlight of the night is the performance of the band DAMA

On the 8th, Saturday, the enclosure opens at 7:00 am. The program includes several activities, namely the Honey from the Algarve competition and the XXVIII National Sheep Contest of the Churra Algarvian Breed. At 23:00, Miguel Gameiro and Polo Norte take the stage.

On the last day, Sunday, the 9th, like last year, the highlight goes to the colloquium entitled “Cynegetic Management and Climate Change”, taking place at 9 am, in the Municipal Auditorium of the municipality. The enclosure opens at 30:11 am and, in the afternoon, at 00:16 pm, visits to the fair by official entities take place. At 00 pm, the last show of the fair takes place, with a concert by the duo Némanus.

The enclosure closes on the first two days at 2:00 am and on the last day at 1:00 am.

The presentation of the event was attended by the Regional Director of Agriculture of the Algarve Pedro Monteiro, the president of AFCA – Association of the Federation of Hunters of the Algarve Victor Palmilha and the administrator of Albumarina, João Amaral, in addition to representatives of the security forces, executive of the municipality and representatives of the Parish Councils.

At the time, a contract was signed between the Municipality and the AFCA with a view to carrying out this event.
