The elements of the “SeaWatch” Project, belonging to the National Maritime Authority, helped, at the end of Saturday morning, a 62-year-old man who felt unwell on the beach of Monte Gordo.
Following the alert received at 11:50 am, through another person who was on the beach, the elements of the “SeaWatch” Project went to the place in their Amarok vehicle, «finding the victim conscious, but unwell, with glucose levels low levels and blood pressure values above normal».
The European Emergency Number (112) was immediately contacted, which called the Volunteer Firefighters of Vila Real de Santo António.
The victim was transported to a hospital unit by these firefighters.
