Cristina Taquelim is a reading mediator and storyteller.

With a degree in Educational Psychology and Librarianship, she was, until February 2020, a technician at the Municipal Library of Beja José Saramago, an institution where for 30 years she coordinated the Reading Mediation Service, the Palavras Andarilhas project, the reading program in Rural Areas, among others. others.

She is a trainer accredited by the CCPFC in the area of ​​reading promotion.

It has presented communications at colloquiums, congresses and promoted training actions for other mediators – librarians, library technicians, storytellers, teachers and parents.

He was part of the Gulbenkian House of Reading project team. She collaborated with the Catholic University in the Graduate Program in Children's Books.

She has been active as an oral narrator since 1995 and, as such, has participated in meetings in several countries.

He has works of children's literature published in Brazil and Portugal, including “Corrupio” by Editora Lê (Br.2017); “Grandmother of Heart” (Pt. 2019); “Theodora and the Mystery of the Cachapins” (Pt. 2020) by Ed. Zero to Eight.

He believes that reading and counting are ways of designing windows to the diversity of languages ​​in the world, as well as those of the inner world.

She is a founding partner of the Ouvir e Contar Association and of Chão Nosso, a Cultural Cooperative based in Beringel.
