Vale Silves students and UNIR users show how to “Love the Sea”

The shows will take place on Friday the 23rd between 18pm and 00pm and on Saturday the 20th between 00pm and 24pm

The presentation of the final shows of the “Love the Sea – Inclusive Dance and Environment” project, which involves students from the EB1 Vale Silves School and users of UNIR – Association of the Mentally Ill, Families and Friends of the Algarve, will take place this Friday and Saturday, 23rd and 24th of June, at Cineteatro Louletano.

It is an initiative of artistic creation and inclusive dance, based on aquatic life, on the importance of the oceans, on the main problems that it faces today, namely: designation of marine protected areas, pollution and dead zones of the oceans, illegal fishing, importance of regulate the “high seas”, etc.

The protagonists will be students from a 3rd year class at the EB1 Vale Silves School and eight users from UNIR – Association of the Mentally Ill, Families and Friends of the Algarve, who began rehearsals at the beginning of the 2022/2023 school year.

The Loulé Senior Dance Company, users of the CREI – Center for Educational Resources for the Inclusion of Young People with Special Educational Needs from Quarteira and Loulé, as well as students from the Bordeira Studio (Faro) and students from the Musicians Association of Faro, a total of 80 dancers on stage. The choreography is in charge of Inês Mestrinho.

The shows will take place on Friday, the 23rd, between 18:00 pm and 20:00 pm, and on Saturday, the 24th, between 16:00 pm and 18:00 pm. Seats are assigned and those interested can purchase tickets (free of charge) at the Cineteatro ticket office.

This is yet another action of the Dance and Environment, Art-Education Project.
