Algarve Isaac Nader wins silver in the 1500 meters at the European Games

The Algarve's Isaac Nader won this Saturday, June 24, the silver medal in the 1500 meters event at the European Games, which are being held in Poland. 

The athlete, who is a native of Faro, made a time of 3.37,37:1500 minutes. The race was won by Mohamed Katir (Spain) who completed the 3.36,95 meters in XNUMX:XNUMX minutes.

In third place was Niels Larós (Netherlands), with a time of 3.37,59:XNUMX minutes.

At the end of the race, Isaac Nader confessed that his main goal is to have won the gold.

“Only gold counts. Account [the silver], of course, is a medal. I respect the competition, it is an international competition and for many Europeans it is of a high level. But you have to earn it. So it's satisfying enough," he said.

This was the eighth medal won by Portugal at the European Games (three golds, three silvers and two bronzes).
