Vila do Bispo City Council released a video to celebrate Spring, the season in which the municipality's biodiversity is renewed and displays the beauty of the landscapes in all its splendour.
“The great conspiracy” is the title of the narrative that, through local characters, guides us along the beaches with imposing cliffs, through the fields painted in bright colors by wild flowers that welcome and feed birds and bees, through the villages where time runs slowly.
Conceptually, it affirms the pride and commitment of the locals to the protection of wildlife that makes the Costa Vicentina and the entire Southwest region of Portugal unique.
The video features the participation of local figures, such as bodyboard champion Joana Schenker, archaeologist Ricardo Soares or nature guide Ana Carla Conceição, among others.
The municipality thus reinforces «its strategy for promoting nature tourism, which safeguards natural values, expands environmental awareness and values knowledge of local history and culture».
