Portimonense beat Gil Vicente by 1-0, this Sunday, the 23rd, at the Municipal de Portimão, and took a step that could be decisive towards maintenance in the I Liga, when 29 rounds of the competition have been played.
The Algarve knew how to suffer to maintain the advantage and did not let the three points escape.
Portimonense's goal was scored in the second half, at 48, by Maurício.
Gil reacted and had several good opportunities to score, including a disallowed goal, but I couldn't equalize the game.
The Algarve, on the other hand, tried to extend the advantage, in a counterattack, and almost succeeded.
Even so, the 1-0 did not change until the end.
With this victory, Portimonense climbs to 13th place, with 33 points, surpassing Gil Vicente.
