The body of a man, between 40 and 50 years old, was found this afternoon between the dunes and sand of Altura beach, in Castro Marim, the causes of the occurrence being unknown.
The alert was given at 12:00, through a concessionaire on the beach. Members of the Vila Real de Santo António Maritime Police Local Command, the Motorized Surveillance team, the Vila Real de Santo António Firefighters and INEM immediately went to the location.
Death was declared on the beach by the Health Delegate, and the body was transported to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Faro.
The local Command of the Maritime Police of Vila Real de Santo António took care of the occurrence.
