The stairs to Castelo and the continuous walkway on Rua do Castelo, next to Café Inglês, in the city of Silves, were the target of rehabilitation works, in an investment of 40 euros, announced the City Council.
The work is part of the «more general strategy of the municipality for the rehabilitation, conservation and enhancement of the historical and cultural heritage», adds the municipality.
With this intervention, the mobility and safety of passers-by was improved, as well as the conditions for carrying out economic activity on the spot.
