Two young people, aged 22, were arrested as part of operation "125 Azul", to combat the crime of child pornography, which took place in recent days in the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo.
According to the Judiciary Police (PJ), the operation «originated in communications from an international organization, culminating in the identification of several suspects».
«After carrying out computer searches of the various equipment, hundreds of videos/images containing pornography of minors were flagged, in which young children participate in explicit sexual acts with adults, suspecting that part of this material may have been shared with third parties not yet identified", says the Judiciary.
Several devices, such as computers and cell phones, were seized.
One of the youths was held in preventive detention and the other subject to biweekly presentations to the local police authority.
