The 22nd FARTUNA – Festival of You have not Academics of the City of Faro, hosted by Versus Tuna - Tuna Academic at the University of Algarve, is scheduled for this weekend, March 10th and 11th.
The event starts with the traditional night of serenades, on the 10th, at 22:00, in Largo do Carmo, in Faro.
On the 11th, the festivities continue throughout the city, with emphasis on the traditional pasacalles that will enliven the streets of downtown Faro during the afternoon. In the evening, at 21:00, at Teatro das Figuras – Teatro Municipal de Faro, the main show takes place.
The evenings will end with after parties at the Zero and Twice nightclubs, in Baixa, with the participation of DJ Mr Kool.
In this twenty-second edition, four tunas will participate in the competition: the Tuna Templária from Tomar, the Tuna Académica de Farmácia from the University of Lisbon, the Estudantina Académica from the Higher Institute of Engineering in Lisbon and the Tuna Académica from the Polytechnic Institute of Administration and Marketing. The two extra-competition tunas are the Real Tuna Infantina – Tuna Académica Mista from the University of Algarve and Feminis Ferventis – Tuna Académica Feminina from the University of Algarve.
