A penalty scored in the 85th minute freed Farense from yet another away defeat, this Saturday, March 11, in a game against Vilafranquense, whose result was 1-1.
After a first half without great opportunities, the first goal of the match was scored in the 65th minute by Bernardo Martins of Vilafranquense.
About 20 minutes later, the Algarve team benefited from a penalty without any doubt. Called to convert, Rui Costa did not fail and scored the tie.
With this result, Farense remains on the podium of the II Football League, where it temporarily occupies the second position, with 42 points. With the same points is Estrela Amadora and Moreirense in first place, with 56.
The match for the 24th round took place at Estádio Municipal de Rio Maior.
