TASA creates club for knowledge sharing

The first session is free

The first session of the TASA Club, where, every week, knowledge on basketry techniques and traditional weaves from the Algarve will be shared, takes place on the 1st of March, at the TASA Workshop, in Loulé.

The idea of forming the club arose «from the desire to educate and sensitize the community in relation to traditional practices that are part of the local culture».

The club's model was designed to make participation more accessible for the resident population, since it operates once a week (Wednesdays) at the end of the day (from 18 pm to 00 pm), "in an environment that invites close interaction between people and experiential and informal learning, guided by TASA's resident artisan».

The first session is free and aims to understand how the club works and what techniques and materials can be worked on.

Thereafter, a monthly fee of 45 euros is charged corresponding to one month (4 sessions) and each participant can build their own learning/work path, with the duration that suits them.
