The PCP is organizing a working day in the Algarve, between the 23rd, 24th and 25th of February, with Sandra Pereira, Member of the European Parliament, which will focus on topics such as the difficulties of workers and populations to face the increase in cost of living.
According to the party, we live in a reality in which it is necessary to «defend public services and their professionals», «understand the problems of the productive sector», «affirm a position in defense of public transport», «know the impact of the lack of support to the structures of culture”. Thus, the PCP will contact sectors of civil protection, meeting the regional reality, deepening the knowledge of the problems but also to point out answers and solutions to overcome them.
"Workers, the populations of the Algarve and the region can count on the PCP to voice their demands and intervene, making the contribution that is required to solve the problems and respond to the needs they face", says the party. .
The PCP program with Sandra Pereira started today, in Faro, at 8:00 am, with distribution at Escola EB 1 /JI do Carmo. At 10:00 am, in São Brás de Alportel, there was a visit to the Centro de Medicina de Reabilitação do Sul, followed, at 14:45 pm, in Faro Distribution at FAGAR – municipal company.
At 16 pm, in Olhão, there is a meeting with shellfish gatherers and nurseries from the Ria Formosa, in Jardim dos Patinhos, and at 00 pm, in Tavira, there is a meeting with Associação Corpo de Hoje, at the headquarters of the Parish Council of Tavira.
On the 24th, at 7 am, in Tavira, there will be contact with users at the CP Station in Tavira and a train trip to Faro, where, at 8:30 am, there is contact with road drivers from EVA and Próxima.
At 10 am, in Lagos, there is a meeting with the Association of Irrigators and Beneficiaries of Alvor and at 30 pm, in Portimão, there is a meeting with the workers of the Hospital de Portimão.
Still in Portimão, at 15 pm, there will be a meeting with the CHUA Administration and in Albufeira, at 30 pm, a meeting with Workers from the Hotel Pine Cliffs. Already at 17:30, in Albufeira, there is contact with courier workers from digital platforms.
Finally, on the 25th, in Silves, at 9:00 am, there will be distribution at the Silves Municipal Market and at 10:30 am, visit and meeting with Silves Firefighters.
