The University of the Algarve (UAlg) will deliver, this Wednesday, February 15, 95 excellence scholarships, sponsored by 54 companies, in a session that will be attended by Paulo Macedo, chairman of the Executive Committee of Caixa Geral de Depósitos. On the same day, the Great Auditorium on the Gambelas Campus will be renamed Caixa Geral de Depósitos.

The scholarship session takes place from 16:00.

These grants will pay, in full, the fee for the 1st year of the undergraduate and/or integrated master's degree, set at 697 euros.

The students placed with the best classification in the respective course, who entered with an application grade equal to or greater than 15 values, were ranked for the award of the Excellence Scholarship.

All students who entered the UAlg through the National Contest for Access to Higher Education were automatically considered, in the first option, with an application grade equal to or greater than 17 points.

With this initiative, UAlg intends to motivate the best students to continue their training at this academy, providing them with quality education.

As part of a framework of social responsibility, these grants represent an important sign of recognition of merit for the work carried out by these students, in addition to being a significant help for families to bear the burden of their students.

Before starting the ceremony, the official inauguration of the new naming assigned to the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Grand Auditorium.
