Marcha Corrida de Castro Marim gathers more than 600 participants

The event took place this Sunday, February 5th, and had two routes

The Castro Marim running march, which took place on the 5th of February, brought together more than 600 participants, who could exercise and appreciate the fauna and flora of the Sapal Reserve. 

The development of physical exercise and good health habits, in addition to creating bonds of friendship, were the objectives of the initiative, which is part of the National Walking-Running Programme, which featured two routes with different degrees of difficulty.

The 1st had a distance of 10 kilometers, through the Reserve. The other was 3,5 kilometers along Vista Real, with views over Castro Marim, the Sapal and the salt flats.

The Marcha Corrida was organized by the Câmara de Castro Marim, by the National Plan of Marcha Corrida, the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, the National Plan of Ethics in Sport and the National Program “Desporto Para Todos” and had the support of the Reserva do Sapal de Castro Marim/VRSA and the local GNR.
