Loulé joins the table of the Municipalities section with ANMP Fire Brigades

Election took place on February 16

Loulé will have a seat on the Board of the Municipalities Section with Fire Brigades of the Local Administration of the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP), in the 2023/25 term, following an election that took place on the 16th of February. 

The municipality of Loulé, represented by councilor Carlos Carmo, is one of the members of this body, which is chaired by the Vila Nova de Gaia Council, represented by José Guilherme Aguiar.

As vice presidents of the Section will be, on the part of the Municipal Councils of Sardoal and Tomar, respectively, the mayors Miguel Borges and Anabela Freitas. The other member is the municipality of Braga, with councilor Altino Bessa.

«In addition to the election of the members of the Bureau of this Section, this meeting also discussed the revision of the Statute of the Career of Professional Firefighters in Local Administration, the application of EU funds from Portugal 2030, among other matters of interest to professionals in the sector», according to the Loulé Council.
