The “AP Victoria Falésia Run”, an environmentally friendly and supportive event, will take place on the 12th of March, starting at 10:30 am, with departure and arrival at the Hotel AP Victoria Sports & Beach, located on the Crosse das Açoteias track , in Albufeira.
This is a sporting event that assumes itself as an Eco-event by presenting an unprecedented feature in Portugal: the numbers are made of seed paper, which allows them to be sown after use.
At the same time, the race has a solidarity aspect as the organization will donate 1 euro from each entry to Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira.
The registration fee entitles you to an athlete's kit that includes dorsal, technical t-shirt, various gifts, advantages and discounts on services provided by sponsors.
The “AP Victoria Falésia Run” is an organization of the Free Challenge Association, with extensive experience in organizing events of this nature, namely the São Silvestre de Quarteira and the Albufeira Jupiter Vertical Race.
The Municipality of Albufeira, the Hotel and the AP Hotels & Resorts Group are co-organisers of the event, which also has the technical partnership of the Associação de Atletismo do Algarve and the support of Clube Desportivo Areias de São João, Inframoura and Vilamoura World.
José Carlos Rolo, mayor of Albufeira reveals that he is «very pleased with the organization of yet another sporting event, this time with environmental and social concerns, through the donation of part of the registration fee to an IPSS in the municipality» and takes the opportunity to invite the population to join the event, participating individually, with family or friends.
Cristiano Cabrita, vice-president of the Municipality and responsible for Sports, also highlights «the council's vocation for organizing and hosting outdoor sports events throughout the year».
