Also to mark World Peace Day, the Municipality of Albufeira will “Dance for Peace”, at the Multisports Pavilion in Olhos de Água, from 10 am.
The initiative, part of the SER Project, namely the “Ser Família Programme”, is aimed at children from 6 years old and parents and guardians.
With this initiative, the Municipality of Albufeira intends, "through dance, to promote a reflection on Peace in the World, namely on the main current problems that jeopardize this desideratum, with emphasis on issues related to emigration and refugees, solidarity, poverty, violence and international conflicts". stresses José Carlos Rolo.
The mayor of Albufeira also highlights the importance of working on these issues from an early age, right from the first years of schooling, «so that the new generations value and contribute to the creation of a better world».
